ASI Surender Kumar of traffic police continued the last day session. He said that pedestrians must be aware of these potentials for danger whenever they take to the roads, and must do their part to follow safety laws. A Pedestrian can be responsible for their injuries when they ignore the “walk” signal at an intersection or choose to not use the designated cross walk areas to cross the road or intersection. A pedestrian is also likely to be involved in accidents when he or she darts in front of a vehicle, does not wear the reflective gear at night. Also you should always use zebra crossing, Stay on the pavements and never stand too close to the kerb. You should use your eyes and ears to look out and listen out for any vehicle around you. You should not cross the road at bends and because your visual field is limited. Always wait for the bus to stop completely, be alert of oncoming traffic when you step out of a vehicle.
Now a days as the roads are very busy, we should be very careful while crossing. It is safer to use a pedestrians crossing or an overhead bridge whenever one is available. While using a bicycle, we must pay attention to the road and never cycle too far out to the middle of the road. We must obey all traffic rules. Also we must make sure our bicycle are in good condition with working brakes, lights etc. These are something we can do to avoid accidents. The important thing is to stay alert at all time while using the road. We must know what is happening around us. In this way we can take necessary action to avoid danger. Road safety is very must upon how we use the road. We should use them carefully and we must be able to use them for a long time, then we can stop accidents.
